David Liebe Hart

David Liebe Hart is an outsider artist, puppeteer, and singer best known to a generation of comedy fans from Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!. Born in Chicago in 1955, he spent two decades hosting a Los Angeles public access show, performing songs with hand-built puppets and a cheap keyboard. A devout Christian Scientist who says he was contacted by aliens as a child, he sings about space travel, trains, public transit, and staying away from drugs. His live shows are part concert, part variety act, part sermon, and completely unlike anything else on a club calendar.
