Dave Alves is a Providence-based singer-songwriter, pianist, and guitarist who draws on jazz harmony, classical training, and indie folk songwriting. He started playing piano at age six and later studied music theory and composition in college, eventually moving into solo performance and small-ensemble work across the New England music circuit.
