DAFx 2026 presents Fabian Almazan

Fabian Almazan is a Cuban-born, New York based pianist and composer whose music sits where modern jazz, chamber writing, and electronics overlap. He emigrated as a child, studied at the Manhattan School of Music, and spent years in Terence Blanchard's quintet before building his own trio and the string-driven ensemble behind albums like Alcanza. He also runs Biophilia Records, a label that ships its releases without plastic and puts environmental politics at the center of its design.
