Chance the Rapper (Chancelor Bennett, b. 1993) is a Grammy-winning hip-hop artist from Chicago's West Chatham neighborhood. Fiercely independent, he built his career on free mixtapes — '10 Day,' 'Acid Rap,' and the gospel-inflected 'Coloring Book,' which won a Grammy for Best Rap Album without ever being sold. His MGM Music Hall date supports a return to touring.
