Catherine Bent's Antenna

Catherine Bent is a Boston cellist who has spent years inside Brazilian music, particularly choro, the fast-moving instrumental tradition out of Rio. She leads her own quarteto, teaches, and moves easily between jazz, chamber music, and Brazilian repertoire. Antenna is one of her working ensembles, built for that crossing point where a classically trained cello sits in a rhythm section instead of a string section.
