Brandon Taz Niederauer

Brandon "Taz" Niederauer is an American guitarist and actor from Dix Hills, New York, who earned his nickname for guitar playing so frenetic it reminded his teacher of the Tasmanian Devil. A prodigy who fell in love with the instrument after seeing School of Rock at age eight, he went on to star as the lead guitarist in the Tony-nominated Broadway production of School of Rock the Musical and became a national television fixture by age ten. Rooted in the blues-rock lineage of Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman, he has jammed alongside blues legends, played Coachella and Jazz Fest, and opened for the Rolling Stones. He now tours as guitarist for Grammy winner Jon Batiste.
