Meara O'Reilly is a composer and sound artist whose work explores perception and experimental musical interfaces. Her album Hockets for Two Voices, released on Cantaloupe Music, splits melodies across two performers using a centuries-old vocal technique called hocketing. The record landed on year-end lists from Artforum and Bandcamp, and Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth praised it as music that "destroys you with beauty." O'Reilly has created vocal arrangements for Fleet Foxes, co-created a musical primate language for A24's The Legend of Ochi, and collaborated with Bjork on the Biophilia tour.
