The Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BPYO) is a tuition-free training orchestra for musicians aged 12–21, founded in 2012 by conductor Benjamin Zander as a sister ensemble to the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. It performs an annual concert series at Symphony Hall along with international tours and has released two commercial recordings. This program is devoted to a symphony by Gustav Mahler.
