The McCoy Tyner Legacy Band plays the standards and originals that defined Tyner's hard-driving, lyrical jazz. Drummer Francisco Mela, who played alongside Tyner, leads pianist Benito Gonzalez and bassist Santi Debriano, with saxophonist George Garzone as special guest. The program takes its name from "Blues on the Corner", one of Tyner's catchiest tunes, from The Real McCoy.
