Bahamas

Bahamas is the project of Toronto-based singer-songwriter Afie Jurvanen, a longtime guitarist and collaborator for artists including Feist, whose understated debut introduced a voice and guitar style of rare warmth and economy. His songs are stripped-down without feeling sparse — Jurvanen's fingerpicking and conversational baritone carry enormous emotional weight in the space of two or three minutes — and his catalog has earned him multiple Juno Awards and a devoted following among fans of low-key, masterfully crafted folk-pop. His 2025 album 'Industrial Sport' continued a run of records that only seem to get better with time.
